WCA has just been awarded £8,250 from the National Lottery's Awards for All Scheme.

This is to enable us to market and promote volunteering, support individuals to find placements and provide a range of infrastructure support services to the voluntary and community sector locally,
This will support volunteers to develop new skills and provide a range of volunteer training courses for organisations.

Last Day of Volunteer Week

Our promotional event at The Hive today was supported by Worcester Mayor Steve Mackay.
On his blog - "Finally on Wednesday I was able to promote my theme of Valuing Volunteers by helping Worcester Community Action at The Hive. They signed up a number of people there and then who were interested in volunteering and will look to match their skills and experiences with the right organisation."

Our promotional event at Crowngate today was supported by both Joy Squires (Labour Parliamentary Candidate) and Robin Walker (Conservative Parliamentary candidate)
Both conveyed their support for WCA, and for volunteering, and showed great interest in our display,comprising information from many voluntary sector organisations.

Volunteers' Week is a chance to be part of the UK's biggest celebration of volunteering, recognising the contribution of 23 million people who volunteer in their communities across the UK.
So come along to our stall and discover the volunteering opportunities in Worcester or talk to us about finding volunteers for your organisation.

Our Recent Opening Launch
April 20, 2017
The official launch with the help of Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Paul Denham and Mayoress Councillor Lynn Denham, who also cut a cake to celebrate went well.
The launch saw organisations looking for volunteers by setting up stalls, while volunteers attended asking for help to find placements.
